Abstract/Summary:
QR code,which has been increasingly used in libraries,because of its large information capacity,high-speed reading ability,reliability,confidentiality,anti-counterfeiting,and high security,has gradually become an important aids for library service.This paper explains the characteristics of QR code and its main functions as well as its applications in library management,business,and service,under the study of QR code technology and its development.And based on the case analysis of QR code technology applied to library services,the paper discusses three problems,including the deficiency of the thinking for effectiveness,usefulness and availability of technology application,the integrity of service planning and systematic design,the insufficient attention paid to users,in library services of China.In response to these problems,the corresponding solutions are analyzed as follow.It is necessary to introduce the principles and methods of service design,and the overall and systematic service design for the application of QR codes in library services.This dissertation points out that the princeple,method of service design is UE(User Experience)-center,and by doing service design we can sovle the problem of the lack of effectiveness,usefulness and availability of QR code application systematically,as well as elevate the service level and quality.This article refers to the "SSA" service design process,in accordance with the five service design principles,user center,joint participation,orderly display,physical display,global thinking,four blueprints,which including document retrieval service,reference service,user education service,site and equipment service,for library service design of QR code have been carried out.
