The 3D image sensor is a miniature embedded 3D image acquisition device developed based on the human eye bionics,and can achieve functions such as acquisition,transmission,storage,reading and display of 3D images.Based on the binocular imaging optical model,this paper focuses on the research of 3D image synchronization acquisition,monitoring,and storage logic algorithms,and further perfects the development of 3D image sensors.The main accomplishments are:(1)Based on the biomimetic basis of human eyes,an optical model of a dual CMOS image sensor is established,and a feasible 3D image sensor technology implementation method is analyzed.The geometrical relationship between the optical axis convergence and the imaging plane was analyzed,and the parallax calculation method of the bionic 3D image sensor was obtained.(2)The system structure and hardware circuit of the 3D image sensor are designed.According to the requirements of imaging resolution and frame frequency,the IIC logic module is designed to complete the synchronous configuration of CMOS image sensor,and a parallel synchronous acquisition logic algorithm is designed to collect stereo pair image data,and the left and right views can be spliced and output.(3)Further design and optimization of the logic algorithms for each functional module of the 3D image sensor.Including synchronization configuration and acquisition logic algorithm,wheel sequence cache logic algorithm,USB transfer logic algorithm,stereo image storage and read logic algorithm,stereo image fusion and mapping logic algorithm.(4)A fast parallax detection and discrimination algorithm that can be transplanted to FPGA is proposed.According to the parallax optical model of 3D sensor image,the quantitative relationship between the object depth of field and parallax is deduced.The parallax information is obtained from the coordinates of the extreme points of the image with the same name,so that the depth of field information can be calculated,which is the convergence angle adjustment and scene 3D for 3D image sensor.Reconstruction provides a practical method.After simulation and experimentation,the system shows that the hardware logic algorithm of the 3D image sensor is correct,the system is stable and portable.The development of 3D image sensors solves the problem of acquiring 3D image data in the portable field,and also provides design experience and references for the development of application specific integrated circuits for 3D image sensors,which further promotes the process of naked eye 3D technology productization.
