People's demand for 3D movies is becoming more and more bigger in the 21 st century,but it is not convenient for the audiences to enjoy the 3D movies because they need to wear 3D glasses.We will feel uncomfortable if we long-term wear this glasses especially it's harmful for our children's eyesight.So it is necessary to develop a new 3D movies device that without any external auxiliary equipment.The naked-eye 3D display technology is growing on in order to solve this problem.According to the principle of people to obtain 3D images,the naked-eye 3D image display system collected the 2D images from binocular cameras and obtained disparity map by stereo matching left and right images,then composed 3D images,finally the audiences will be able to get three-dimensional effect when 3D images displayed in the screen.According to the theory of embedded technology and three-dimensional imaging technology,in this paper we designed the naked-eye 3D image system based on S3C6410 processor and WinCE6.0 operating system,the contributions of the dissertation can be concluded as follows:Firstly,in this paper we made some research on the background and significance of the naked-eye 3D image display technology,and reviewed the current research status and development trend of this technology,any more on the basis of understanding the principle of 3D image,we made some collection of the problems that existed in the current 3D image display technology,such as the function is single and is poor in the imaging effect.In order to solve these problems,a solution must be proposed in this paper,we must develop a naked-eye 3D image display device based on the embedded technology.Secondly,according to the demand analysis of the subject,we started to do some work about the framework design of this system,and studied the relevant knowledge about embedded processor and WinCE 6.0 operating system,then according to the needs of the development of the image processing software,we studied the current research status of the binocular stereo matching image processing algorithms,finally this paper introduce the mathematical model of the recursive edge-preserving image filtering algorithm.Thirdly,in the image processing technology research of naked-eye 3D image system,we did some work such as the design of hardware circuit,the development of camera driver,the transplantation of embedded operating system,and the development of 3D camera application,etc.Any more we must do some work about the structural design for the binocular cameras,and finished the stereo calibration work of the monocular camera and the binocular cameras to make sure the accurate of the captured image using the calibration kit.Lastly,the accuracy and real-time performance of the system were both taken into account in the research of algorithm design,then a recursion edge-preserving stereo matching algorithm was proposed,a novel constant time stereo matching algorithm referred as recursion edge-preserving stereo matching(REF)was proposed.Then we can obtain a 3D graphic by the optimized disparity map,the effectiveness of the algorithm was verified by the simulation experiments,and it can be comparable with advanced local binocular matching algorithms in the aspect of the image error rate with an average error rate at 5.6%,because this algorithm just included simple addition and multiplication in the calculation,so it can make use of this advantage in the computational complexity and made a good performance in the real-time application,finally it was transplanted to the hardware platform and worked well.
