Cancer is the world's most serious public health problem.According to data released by the International Agency for Research on Cancer, about 8 million people die from cancer each year in the world. In China,an average of 6 people are diagnosed with malignant tumors every minute. This situation is still showing a trend of increasing year by year. How to improve the effectiveness of cancer control is a comprehensive social issue. There are many factors such as hospital management, patients themselves, health care, health education, and media communication.Among them, the role of the media has become more important with the development of information dissemination..In the era of "combination of newspapers and newspapers",compared with new media with a lot of information and pseudo-populism,traditional media is still one of the trusted media of the audience because of its own authority and influence. This article starts from two levels. On the one hand,it starts from the audience, sums up the audience's cognition level of cancer-related information, analyzes the audience's media preference, and the degree of trust in traditional media cancer reports. On the other hand, from the point of view of the media,in order to restore the presentation characteristics of traditional media cancer reports, through the analysis and comparison between “passing”and “accepting”,this paper hopes to analyze the strategies for the transmission of health information in traditional media. This article uses questionnaires, content analysis, literature review and other research methods to comprehensively analyze the audience's cognitive level of cancer-related information in the current media, the media's preference for use,and the degree of trust in traditional media cancer reporting. This paper summarizes the characteristics of traditional media on the presentation of cancer reports.Through the comparison of audience cognition and media reporting characteristics,it examines the lack of cancer reports and attempts to combine the audience cognition to make some opinions and suggestions on media cancer reports. From the perspective of the audience, the audience still has shortcomings in cancer, and the level of fear of cancer is still very high. The social phenomenon of “spotting cancer” hasnot subsided.Although the audience lacks awareness of cancer-related information, the demand for information is relatively strong.Media is the main channel for audiences to obtain information. When professional and scientific information is involved, the audience trusts traditional media-related information. From a media perspective,Chongqing City's most popular metropolis newspaper “Chongqing Morning Post” and “People's Daily,” which has an influential power in the country, still have some problems in cancer reports. The content is relatively small, the layout of the cancer report is weak, and the negative image of the cancer patient is mainly negative. The article lacks the “present opinion” of the patient and there are contradictory and vague contents that affect the audience's perception of cancer. This article synthesizes the audience cognition and puts forward some opinions and suggestions for the traditional media cancer report.First, pay attention to the needs of the audience and enhance the suitability of cancer reports.Second, strengthen the interaction with the audience and increase the confidence of the audience.Third, reshape the audience and improve the confidence of the audience. Finally, improve the quality of the reports and optimize the cancer. The accuracy of the report.
