News propaganda is a tool for sharing information and creating public opinions.Thematic reports play a positive and important role in carrying forward the theme and guiding public opinions.To celebrate the 20 th an-niversary of Chongqing which becomes the direct-governed city,the large series reports “Chongqing Dream Chasers in Other Places” reported 522 dream chasers' wonderful stories through episodes during nearly 3 years.It was reprinted for more than 55,000 times by various major media agen-cies around our country with over 100,000 news comments and exceeding 350 million hits.The reports create a history record for thematic propaganda because of its long duration,width of involved media and density of playback.With the deepening of social conflicts,thematic re-ports will face larger and grater development space.As a result,we are re-quired to continuously improve and develop the research on thematic re-ports to achieve more progress in a long term.Seeing the specific coverage of “Thematic Propaganda” as entry point,this article takes the series reports “Chongqing Dream Chasers in Other Places”as the research object and analyzes the content features,full media agenda setting reporting features and communication effect by comprehensively using methods like case studies,content analysis and questionnaire surveys.It discusses the Content Features of the topic propaganda “Chongqing Dream Chasers in Other Places” Series reports in the all-media era,way of reporting innovation,as well as the effect of theme propaganda on the omnimedia coverage to offer a reference of successful experiences to future theme reports.The entry point of the reports is the localization perspective.They high-light the individual characters in each story,reflect and deepen the theme of times of “China Dream” through small,continuous and individual perspectives.During the process of agenda setting,all kinds of media will be organized in different periods to form timeliness complementary and the backscratching of different media's information can contribute to the complementary of news information.As for the way of reporting,we combine multi-channel communication,organize various offline theme activities,form joint interview groups and deeply research the implementation of “get close to grass-roots,change the style of work and transform the style of writing”.In terms of communication effect,the writer took a questionnaire survey on the basic condition of the “Chongqing Dream Chasers in Other Places” series reports.The conclusion is that most audience are positive to the outlook of life and execution the coverage reported and those dream chasers have an influence on the change of some audience's attitudes and behaviors.Especially among the channels that audience contact to the “Chongqing Dream Chasers in Other Places”,offline theme activities became one of the main parts.This innovation model can provide some reference for the later theme propaganda.
