The development of offshore wind power technology,is an effective method to relieve the tension of electricity and adjust the energy structure.As the connection hub,all countries have carried out their own submarine engineering design gradually under the requirements of global environment protection and the energy coordination and optimal allocation.How to make a reasonable choice of the type and section of the cable are important problems that a lot of electric power design enterprises trying to solve at present.At the present stage,the calculation method is mainly divided into three categories: analytical method,numerical method and experimental method.At present,the research of software development at home and abroad for power cable ampacity calculation is still at the initial stage,and also there is no mature calculation software for cable carrying capacity based on finite element method.The purpose of this paper is to compile a set of software for calculating the discharge of submarine cables which contains two main methods: Calculation of the equivalent thermal resistance method and finite element method with calculation of voltage loss and thermal stability check for providing a better basis for the selection of submarine cable.This paper introduces the cable ampacity calculation,present research situation of the test voltage loss calculation and thermal stability.Then gives a detailed introduction to the principle of these algorithms.This paper first briefly introduces the research status of the calculation of submarine cable carrying capacity,calculation of voltage loss and the thermal stability check,and the principles of these algorithms are described in detail,then I choose equivalent thermal resistance method,mix-programming with COMSOL with MATLAB and C#.NET,calculation of voltage loss and calculation method of thermal stability as the core algorithm of software accordingly.The software has the following functions: the calculation of various common laying conditions under the application of the equivalent thermal resistance method of submarine cable,analysis and calculation of temperature field and various common laying conditions application of finite element method under the sea the submarine cable,check calculation and thermal stability of cable line voltage loss.Finally,this paper uses the technical data provided by the cable manufacturer to test each module of the software and the accuracy and practicability of the software.
