When the current-carrying fault occurs, the devices'temperature is higher than normal value. In view of economic cost, technical feasibility and other factors into account, contactor's temperature monitoring and analysis is the sole basis for early precaution of electrical equipment generally. However, the traditional methods can only do simple threshold determination, and failed to effectively extract valuable information from the mass data. As a result, the diagnosis results are always unsatisfactory.Given the above shortcomings, firstly, this paper presents an algorithm about current-carrying fault online diagnosis, which mainly includes principal component analysis, variable-scaled principal component analysis and k-means clustering algorithm. Using these machine learning methods, we can make early warning of existing fault and exact the location of the failure.Secondly, this paper details the design and implementation of the information system of power equipment current-carrying faults diagnosis, and the goal is to apply the above theoretical research to practical application of electricity production. We select Visual Studio 2008 integrated development environment as development tools, and the programming language is C#. This system is based on.NET framework, using many classes from ASP.NET and ADO.NET, the former building dynamic interactive website, the latter providing data access interface. Browser/Server is the system's architecture, so end-users just only need an ordinary browser which can realize all operations, what's more, it greatly reduces the cost of maintain.System design is generally in accordance with B/S three-layer architecture, divided into database service layer, business logic and presentation layer. The database service layer preserves and reads data. The business logic layer is responsible for dealing with complex business logic, and this paper embodies the fault diagnosis algorithm. The presentation layer displays and accepts data, to provide users with interaction man-machine interface.
