With China's economic development after the adoption of the reform and opening-up policy,non-state-owned museums have witnessed the extraordinarily rapid development.By the end of 2017,the registered museum nationwide have reached 4,873,including 1,297 non-state-owned museums,accounting for 26.9%,but excluding nearly 2,000 various types of unregistered private collections or galleries.Non-state-owned museums in Jilin province have also experienced relatively fast development.Statistics show that by the end of 2017,15 non-state-owned museums have been registered at Jilin Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau,accounting for 12% of the total museums in this province.6 of these museums are located in Changchun,4 in Tonghua,2 in Jilin,and 1 respectively in Songyuan,Baicheng and Yanbian.The development of non-state-owned museum in Jilin province is of far-reaching significance.These museums have produced very good results in social non-profit exhibitions,and played a certain role in promoting the development of the museum industry in Jilin province.However,non-state-owned museums are inevitably faced with some problems and inadequacies in the process of development.Based on field investigation,this paper attempts to analyze the status quo and problems in the development of Jilin's non-state-owned museums,and find out a suitable path to the development of Jilin's non-state-owned museums.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part introduces the background of the research,the domestic research status,the research content and methodology,the core concepts and so on.The second part is the profile of the state-owned-owned museums in Jilin province.It introduces non state-owned museums in Jilin province from such aspects as their respective sizes,the conditions of their premises and exhibition halls,as well as the types and quantities of their collections,and describes the non-state-owned museums in Jilin province from the perspectives of their geographical distribution and the urban development scale of the cities where these museums are located.The third part analyzes the current situation of non-state-owned museums in Jilin province.It discusses their operations,collections,opening time,staff,as well as displays and exhibitions.The fourth part is mainly about the problems with the development of non-state-owned museums in Jilin province.This part is mainly demonstrated from two aspects.First,it discusses the most common problems existing in the development of non-state-owned museums in Jilin province.Then it put forward the specific problems existing in some non-state owned museums.The fifth part is related to the research on the strategies for the development of non-state-owned museums in Jilin province.It puts forward the corresponding solutions to the most common problems existing in the non-state-owned museums of Jilin province and the specific problems of some non-state-owned museums.
