The detection and recognition of human limb movements involve the research directions of multiple subject knowledge,which include many fields of expertise such as digital image processing,computer vision,artificial intelligence(AI)and pattern recognition.Traffic police command movement recognition belongs to the human body movement recognition.In order to analyze the traffic development in modern society and increase the number of means of transportation,especially in large and medium-sized cities,the increasing concentration of traffic jams and means of transport has put pressure on traffic command and management departments.It is far from enough to rely solely on the command of the traffic lights because,taking into account the real-time situation of the road and the unexpected situation of the vehicle,traffic police officers must be employed to assist the conductor and clear the road.As the direction of development of warning system for collision avoidance of vehicles,it is very important to accurately identify the meaning of traffic police command and action under emergency conditions.In this thesis,based on Canny edge detection,the Otsu algorithm is used to improve the adaptive threshold for the analysis of the command and action of traffic police upper limbs.At the same time,based on the frame difference method and the optical flow method,the edge-point-preserving method of dynamic region is proposed to obtain the edge points set of motion.Based on the definition of perceptual organization,the algorithm of edge point integration is summarized and the basic action of traffic police command is dealt with,Get a more complete and clear upper limb contour.Finally,the experimental results collected in this paper are compared with the standard action database to get the recognition accuracy.Experimental results show that interception of the main frame of upper limb movement can be a better solution to the background of traffic police command gestures and human non-rigid interference problems,more accurately identify the traffic police arm of the external profile in order to achieve the purpose of post-analysis of the meaning of action.
