The younger generation and the older generation, because of their different time experiences and experiences, have created different understandings between the two generations in the cultural trend of values. In the Internet age,the changes in new media technologies have further deepened the generation gap, especially the generation gap between the children of the 1990s and their parents after the 60s and 70s,such as the differences in mobile Internet skills and smart phone applications.Differences in the level of awareness have profoundly demonstrated the digital divide between the two generations of Internet skills and media use in the context of the Internet. This digital divide is directly reflected at the family level as an intergenerational gap between parents and children. With WeChat infiltrating into the family life and changing the traditional way of communicating via mobile phone in long-distance communication,WeChat has become the main communication place for parents and children in many families. In the communication, there is inevitably a generation gap. However,we should also see that through the back-feeding,seniors have learned about the Internet culture and network technology of the current era and have improved their ability to respond to the Internet age.Young people spread their basic Internet skills to their elders and transmit their youth culture and values. It promotes good intergenerational communication and finally brings an opportunity to realize good intergenerational relations in the Internet age.The purpose of this study is to explore the phenomenon of cultural return during the process of WeChat communication between the younger generation and the older generation in the Internet age.The perspective of intergenerational communication is limited to the parent-child relationship.Through interviews,it is clear and intuitive to observe the differences in generation gaps and the phenomenon of back feeding between parents and children in the WeChat communication.Under the background of media socialization,WeChat constructs a new platform for the cultural return except face-to-face communication. The Internet and social applications of smartphones have infiltrated family life and mediated parent-child relationships. In addition,it is also a re-reading of Meade's prefigurative culture in the Internet age.Mead believes that in the "prefigurative culture' society, older people begin to learn from the younger generation their unprecedented experience and knowledge, and the current era of web2.0 not only shows this and adds new meaning to it,the related knowledge of the Internet has also become the younger generation to the content of the cultural return of the older generation.Cultural return has built bridges for exchanges and dialogues for two generations. With the phenomenon of cultural return,it has changed the way childrenget along with their parents in the traditional society and deepened the mutual understanding between the two generations. The authoritative framework is also accompanied by new experiences and knowledge transferred to the younger generation. In the Internet age, only two generations can bridge the gap by communicating, and re-establish a new relationship between the two sides so that they can understand each other and thus cross the generational divide created by the rapid changes in knowledge, technology, and culture.
