Compared with traditional single antenna communication systems,Multiple-Input Multiple-Output(MIMO)systems are regarded as one of the core technologies of the next-generation mobile communications,due to their excellent system performance under the same bandwidth and power consumption.Spatial Modulation MIMO systems(SM-MIMO),using traditional modulation symbols and antenna position to transmit information simultaneously,have become the focus of recently research.In order to improve the performance of SM-MIMO communication systems,this paper proposed three SM-MIMO system transmission schemes as follows:1.In order to improve the bit error rate(BER)performance of SM-MIMO systems,increasing the Hamming distance of spatial modulation symbols is considered as an effectively approach.In this paper,based the characteristics of linear block code,a linear block code-aided transmit antenna selection SM-MIMO system is designed.The designed system split the source information bits into two sub-bit sequences firstly,performing conventional constellation modulation on one of the sub-bit sequences and encoding on the other sub-bit sequences by linear block code,and then,mapping the codewords to activate transmit antenna in every time slot.Simulation experimental results show that compared with the traditional generalized spatial modulation(GSM)MIMO system with activated multiple transmit antennas,the designed system in this paper can obtain better BER performance.2.Based on the characteristics of pre-coding transmission technology,this paper designed an SM-MIMO system based pre-coding technology,and proposed an antenna selection algorithm at receiver.Complexity analysis and BER performance simulation was conducted as well.The simulation experiment results show that compared with the receiver antenna selection algorithm based on zero forcing(ZF)pre-coding in the existing literature,the antenna selection algorithm based on minimum mean square error(MMSE)pre-coding designed in this paper can obtainbetter BER performance with the slightly increasing of system complexity.3.Based on the advantages of golden angle modulation(GAM)that compared with traditional M-QAM(Multiple-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation)methods in BER performance and mutual information performance,in order to further improve the BER performance and mutual information performance of SM-MIMO systems,this paper designed a SM-MIMO systems based on GAM.Simulation results show that compared with the traditional SM-MIMO system with M-QAM,the designed SM-MIMO system with GAM can obtain higher transmission rate and better BER performance when modulation order is higher.
