As one of the country's important soft powers, culture has increasingly embarked on the front lines of international politics and diplomacy in China.Museums have assumed important functions in international cultural exchanges. The museum's foreign exchange exhibition provides the audience with a unique cultural experience in the display of traditional culture, representative culture, and characteristic culture of the country. While satisfying the public's curiosity,it undoubtedly promotes international cultural exchanges. The importance and necessity of international cultural exchanges between museums is becoming increasingly prominent. The continuous development and construction of this work is an important issue in the field of museum research. From 1927 to 2017,the Henan Museum has been established for 90 years.Over the past 90 years, the Henan Museum has made many efforts in foreign exchange and has accumulated a lot of experience.Taking the Henan Museum as an example, this paper first reviews the history of foreign exhibitions and exchanges since the Henan Museum's built, examines the current situation and achievements, and then discusses the operation of the museum's foreign exchange exhibition.Based on the comparison of the development of foreign exchanges between museums at home and abroad, the issues concerning the external exhibitions and exchanges of Chinese museums under the new situation were thought and reviewed, and the countermeasures and suggestions for strengthening the foreign exchange exhibitions of Chinese museums were put forward. This paper takes the Henan Museum as an example to study the external exchanges of Chinese museums, and discusses the existing problems and development countermeasures. It is hoped that in the future foreign cultural exchanges,we can inherit the past and reconstruct the future and better build a bridge for Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges.
