As the educational function of museums and the cooperation between museums strengthen.thematic exhibitions that integrate collections from different museums gradually increase, which were named "the resources-integrated special exhibition" in this thesis. The resources-integrated special exhibition breakthroughs the limitation of one museum's collections and has its particularities and value. This kind of exhibitions embodies higher social responsibility of museums, and is one of the important developing directions of future museum exhibitions. However, the academic circles haven't researched these exhibitions as a special type until now,and there are various problems in practice. Therefore,I choose the resources-integrated special exhibition as research object and make preliminary but relatively systematic research, which is of some innovation.Firstly, the the definition and the characteristics of this kind of exhibitions are clarified, and its significances are elaborated from different aspects.Secondly, based on the characteristics of this kind of exhibitions as well as the experience and lesson in practice, this thesis focuses on the key points in the process of planning and organizating, and provide with some personalized guidance. Finally, from the perspective of macroscopic and future, this thesis analyzes how to assure the general development of this kind of exhibitions in China.I hope this thesis can fill up the insufficiency of relevant academic research to some extent, and provide reference for the practice of this kind of exhibitions.I believe the resources-integrated special exhibition will develop both in quantity and quality, which will help museums accomplish the mission of social education better and then promote the progress of human society.
