Research And Implementation Of Enterprise-class Unified Communication Signaling Gateway

VoIP technology originated in the 90's of last century,which offers real-time voice and fax service based on packet switched network.At the beginning of this century,the communication network continued to upgrade,and promote the communication network went into the IP era of the whole network.Especially in recent years,telecommunications network,radio and television networks and the internet through technical transformation,opened a new starting what we call the three networks integration.The signal gateway plays an important role in connecting the traditional telecommunication signal network and the IP exchange signal network.The traditional signal gateway device of telecommunication has complex structure,high port density,large interface and complex signal protocol,so it is not easy to be popularized in SME(Small and medium enterprises).This paper introduces a signal gateway equipment,of low cost,which is suitable for SME,it mainly completes the conversion function of No.7 signal on the PSTN/ISDN/PLMN side and the IP side signal,as well as the media conversion function.Firstly,this paper defines the basic function,capacity,compatibility,security,environment and other requirements of the enterprise level signaling gateway device according to the scale of SME.After analyzing the key characteristics of the signaling gateway and the requirements of the indicators,the selection of software and hardware and the overall plan are determined.Then,according to the structure of three levels:protocol management,session management,transmission management,gradually establishes a detailed design of hardware and software,to achieve reasonable and efficient software and hardware structure and the better performance of the whole machine.This paper well account for how to complete the signal transceiver interface driver management providing stable and special transfer.How to make TDM and RTP media information to be coding or encoding in a specific time slot.How to trigger call state change to complete the call process of flexible control through signaling analysis and signal detection;How to set up the call template to achieve high concurrent and performance.How to map SIP and SS7 signaling to complete the seamless network integration and other issues of the solution.Finally,the prototype of signal gateway system which meets technical indicator is produced.The concurrent number of the equipment can reach up to 120 with full-speed,and CAPS reach 20 according to the simulation performance.The equipment also meets the international requirements in protocol compatibility and working well with server device.
