Traditional network clients are usually connected to external networks through a s-ingle path.Single path transmission is faced with a single point of failure. When a single egress path fails, users cannot connect to the external network. In the case of high-traffic data transmission, using a single path can not meet the bandwidth requirements. The use of multi-homed transmission technology can effectively solve these problems.By establishing multiple transmission paths between users and content sources, the stability of data transmission can be guaranteed, and the available transmission bandwidth can also be greatly improved.Due to architectural limitations, implementing multi-homed transmission under the TCP/IP network architecture requires setting up new servers or introducing a new pro-tocol stack. It is difficult to deploy. Moreover, the network transmission status can only be estimated through RTT(Round-Trip Time),which can easily lead to misjudgmen-t of congestion, resulting in lower link utilization. In order to solve these problems, this dissertation studies the multi-homed transmission technology under the POF-ICN(Protocol-Oblivious Forwarding Information-Centric Networking)architecture. The main work is as follows:.The system modules and functions needed to achieve multi-homed transmission under the POF-ICN architecture are studied. We add cache management module, path planning module, and session management module to the POF-ICN architec-ture.The cache management module is used to obtain the content source address closest to the requesting end.The path planning module is used to calculate all paths from the content source to the requester. The session management module allocates the transmission bandwidth on each path so as to achieve the function of multi-homing transmission..The Markov Decision Processes model of multi-homed transmission process un-der POF-ICN architecture is studied, and the model without background traffic and background traffic model are optimized respectively.Firstly, the model with-out background traffic is optimized and the optimal strategy for the system is ob-tained.Then this strategy is used to run the system in a background traffic model, and the trajectory of the system's operation is sampled. The trajectory is used as input to the model and to update the dynamic strategy accordingly. Finally, the controller controls the forwarding of the bottom layer equipment according to the real-time strategy to implement dynamic bandwidth allocation.Experimental results show that using multi-homed transmission has higher relia-bility and transmission rate than single-path transmission. The multi-homed transmis-sion under the POF-ICN architecture has improved the link utilization and transmis-sion stability compared to the multi-homed transmission under the TCP/IP architecture.
