With the increasing scale of the network in the 21 st century, the concept of "cloud computing" has been proposed under the development of the Internet. And with the era of "cloud computing" arrivals,a lot of storage and computing functions are put in the cloud terminal,so the resources can be managed and scheduled which can be time-saving and calculated quickly. The emergence of "Cloud computing" also makes various industries try their best to bring the "cloud computing" experience to customers, thus take birth to the “cloud computing" terminal that is through the "cloud computing" customer-facing end products.Cloud terminal has become the current development trend and fashion for its tiny, reasonable price and other advantages. This thesis proposes the cloud terminal design which is based on the Cortex-A17 architecture processor core chip RK3288 and its operating systems is embedded Linux, client log onto the server virtual desktop system through the RDP protocol possible and the main modules of this thesis are as follows:(1)The study of the cloud terminal hardware platform.Complete the chosen of the main control chip under the microprocessor ARM architecture.Design the overall hardware architecture and its peripheral circuits according to the project requirements and function.(2)The construction of the embedded Linux system based on the cloud terminal. The completion of U-boot transplant, kernel porting and cutting and making of the root file system.(3)The application layer achievement of the embedded Linux systems. It mainly uses the XWindow transplant and cutting to realize the interface of graphical user; The overall design process RDP client software;RDP client cloud terminal design;Using Qt to achieve the display of embedded GUI interface.
