Research And Implementation Of Network Teaching And Learning Platform Of A Vocational College

In recent years,with the development of computer networks,information technology has played an invaluable role in higher education.To be able to adapt to social development,improve the efficiency of work and quality of education,more and more colleges and universities has strengthened the information technology efforts and developed their own academic management system with independent intellectual property rights according to their own teaching management system and processes.But with the deepening of education reform,the increase of the size of the school,educational administration schools become more onerous and complex.To meet the social needs of students of diverse expertise in various courses offered by the school to keep the broad and deep development,in order to improve the quality of teaching,a variety of network-based distance learning platform on the market.Network teaching platform which breaks the traditional classroom teaching mode is very popular among the teachers and students with its characteristics,such as braking the limits of time and space,massive education resource sharing and a strong ability to interact,etc..However,the current mainstream network teaching platform mainly single teaching,but also with remote teaching,ignoring the classroom teaching and the lack of data sharing with academic management system.So,it can not achieve the related functions about classroom teaching and management.This paper studies and design of a common network teaching platform based on C/S mode,through the business process analysis,each functional module design teaching platform to achieve a blend of distance learning and classroom instruction,and educational management system for data sharing avoid the "islands of information" generation.Teachers can use the platform to achieve functions of the classroom teaching,the management of student attendance and achievement,questions answering,course management and teaching resources management;Students can use the platform to ask questions in class,to download teaching resources,to query attendance and course grades,etc..This Network Teaching and Learning Platform chooses Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2008 as a development tool,C#as the primary development language,Microsoft SQL Serve 2008 as a a system database management system,Serv-U tools to achieve teaching resource sharing and also uses ASP.NET technology and ADO.NET database access technology etc..
