Recently, with the rapid development of the Internet of Things technology, wireless sensor network is playing an increasingly important role in the military, environment, transport, medical, aerospace and other fields.Network deployment locations gradually transited from land to sea, lake and near the surface of the water environment.Due to the current wireless signal propagation path loss model, such as the two-ray model and Hata model only applies to the analysis of the characteristics of the wireless signal transmission in the terrestrial environment, and the characteristics of wireless sensor networks is largely limited by the characteristics of the radio channel,so it's important to do the research about the 2.4GHz wireless signal propagation characteristics near the water environment. The article works for the above objective, mainly about two aspects. On the one hand, the research is mainly about the 2.4GHz wireless signal propagation characteristics near the water environment. The article firstly finishes the measured data acquisition based on the near-water environment and ZigBee.Secondly, using the method of least squares fitting analysis on the two-ray model with the measured data, and finally get the empirical formula. The result shows that the corrected empirical formula is more in line with the actual 2.4GHz signal propagation path loss characteristics near the water environment. On the other hand, the article uses the modified propagation path loss model empirical formula near the water environment to analysis the 2.4GHz signal end-to-end transmission distance and delay characteristics.Firstly, the article does a deep research about how water fluctuation has influence on signal transmission.Secondly, the research includes theoretically comprehensive analysis of the wave equation, the two-ray model and a signal reception power determination formula, the discussion about how the water depth, the height of the transmitting antenna and receiving antenna have effect on the maximum distance impact formula of end-to-end transmission in the case of a certain power. The results show that the transmitter and receiver antenna height and water depth is influential on the maximum transmission distance. Then the article uses Matlab to model the research and evaluate the maximum distance variation of the 2.4GHz signal end-to-end transmission near the surface environment, and compared with the theoretical analysis. Finally, the article uses this model to simulate and analyze the delay characteristics of the 2.4GHz signal near the surface environment and gives the best combination of transmitting antenna height and receiving antenna height.
