Background:In the context of the prevalence of open access movement and networked scientific communication,the traditional bibliometrics method can't meet the demand of evaluation.All the diversified scientific achievements,digital publishing forms and networked scientific communication methods call for a new measurement method to carry out scientific evaluation.Altmetrics emerged,compared with traditional bibliometrics method,it has three major advantages,including more measurable indicators,broader measurement objects,and faster speed of evaluation.Thereby,Altmetrics provides a new way to enrich and innovate the evaluation of scholars influence.Purpose/significance:1.Scholars are the principal part of scientific research,carring out the evaluation of scholars influence is an important support for multi-decision.By conducting evaluation of scholars influence upon standardized Altmetrics score?Altmetric Score and standardized cited score respectively and the two-dimensional evaluation,this paper hopes to achieve two purposes:On the one hand,it expects to help the people who conduct evaluations to select evaluation indicators of scholars influence,providing references for them to optimize and improve the synthesis evaluation model of scholars influence.On the other hand,it hopes to promote the effective implementation of talents selection work such as fund application and title selection.2.By investigating the situation of institutional repositories embed evaluation indicators of Mainland China,Hong Kong and Australia,the paper expects to realize two goals:For one thing,it is convenient for the domestic institutional repositories construction main bodies find insufficient,then strengthen the construction;From another aspect,it will provide a beneficial reference to select the evaluation indicaters of institutional repositories and its resources,and to choose a more proper way to integrate Altmetrics tools.3.By couducting correlation analysis between standardizied Altmetrics score and Altmetric Score,this paper studies how the evaluation methods like underlying index,weight distribution and statistical methods impact on the evaluation results,it looking forward to provide a useful reference for the evaluation subjects to design?optimize and improve the relevant evaluation methods and the evaluation systems.4.it is desirable to be able to make scholars recognize that constructing profile in the institutional repositories and submitting research voluntarily are helpful to highlight their influence,so that scholars are aggressive in self-storage.In this way,the purpose of promoting the construction of the institutional repositories will be achieved.Method/process:Based on the systematic study of using Altmetrics to evaluate objects influence of internal and foreign,and the traditional evaluation indicators of scholars influence,this paper investigates the situation of institutional repositories embed evaluation indicators of Mainland China,Hong Kong and Australia,According to the investigation,this paper selects institutional repositories of Hong Kong university and Queensland university as data sources,using JAVA programming to get the indicators data of 141 scholars from School of Biomedical Sciences of the two universities,then dealing with each scholar's data in the basis of grade distribution method.Depending on factor analysis and principal component analysis,the paper carries out evaluation of scholars influence upon standardized Altmetrics score.By taking advantage of existing data which captured from Alemetric.com,it conducts evaluation of scholars influence upon Altmetric Score.Using weighted assignment method,it carries out evaluation of scholars influence upon standardized cited score.In the end,it builds the two-dimensional evaluation and divides 141 scholars into four types pertinent to "fame" scholars?"star" scholars?"ordinary" scholars and "research"scholars.Result/conclusion:One of the goals of constructing institutional repositories is to collect and preserve all scientific research of the institution.What's more,the sample survey finds that most institutional repositories are supporting academic level of outcome integration,and some of them also offers multiple types of evaluation data.Thus,institutional repositories conducted relatively mature can be used as platforms to acquire the data of Scholars influence;Citation behaviors lag online communication behaviors,and correlation analysis among the standardized Altmetrics score?Altmetric Score and standardized cited score all show a strong positive correlation.It follows that Altmetrics score can predict cited score on the academic level;Altmetrics is able to collect evaluation data came from various online platforms to measure scholars influence.In addition,the investigation of the 141 scholars also demonstrate the effectiveness of the two-dimensional evaluation.With this clarification,in the context of the prevalence of the open access movement and networked scientific communication,if we want to measure the influence of scholars roundly,Altmetrics indicators should be introduced.In the system of evaluating scholars influence,evaluation methods and evaluation regulations show different evaluation consciousness and evaluation thoughts of evaluation subjects,They also exhibit different combination to achieve various evaluation objectives.But the impact of these factors on the evaluation results is very smll.In contrast,the choice of the underlying incators is the most critical factor,it is the most direct factor to determine the evaluation results.
