Beidou Navigation Satellite System(BDS)is a global navigation satellite system self-developed by China.The Asia-Pacific region has now officially provided with the function of passive positioning,navigation,timing service,which is successfully applied to mapping,water conservancy,fisheries,transportation,disaster relief,public safety and many other areas,resulting in significant economic and social benefits.Beidou satellite signal receiving system is usually realized by the combination of ASIC(Application Specific Integrated Circuit)and microprocessor.In traditional receiving system implemented with FPGA(ASIC)and ARM or DSP(microprocessor),the speed and stability of the system are restricted by the communication bus between the two chips.To solve this problem,a Beidou B1 satellite signal receiving system is designed and implemented on the hardware platform of DE1-SOC,using the technology of heterogeneous multicore SOC.In the Cyclone V SOC device on the hardware platform of DE1-SOC,traditional FPGA logic unit,NIOS ? soft core processor and an arm hardcore processor system(HPS)are integrated to constitute a heterogeneous multicore SOC.The functions of satellite signal receiving and processing are completed by hardware logic of FPGA and software of NIOS ? processor,so as to realize the positioning solution and results output.In the Linux system running on the arm hardcore the positioning results are received and displayed,and the interface of man-machine interaction is implemented.The internal bus,which connects between the FPGA hardware and NIOS ? core,has higher speed and better stability.Compared with traditional FPGA + ARM/DSP structure,the system using a single chip SOC device to complete the design is more stable and reliable,and the system design is more flexible and efficient,the volume is smaller and the cost is lower.Test results show that the requirements of Beidou Satellite signal receiving system is achieved in this design,and the functions of acquisition and tracking of satellite signal,positioning and timing are implemented.
