Under the current international situation, marine resources has become the keystrategic resources and economic resources for countries’ competition. China is amarine country, with her ocean land area relatively large, and mainland coastlinerather longer. Therefore, the development of marine resources is particularlyimportant. The acquisition of the data of wave and current has always been animportant direction of ocean research. Besides, the observation of the data is closelyrelated to people’s lives. What’s more, it sheds significant guidance to offshoreoperations and construction.The project in this thesis is based on the integrated ocean buoys projects inNational Games. It is carried out in General Stone waters, which is located inWafangdian City, Liaoning Province. The project makes real-time observation for theocean currents, waves, wind and other elements. Buoy system is based on the dataacquisition system of wave and current, and is equipped with a variety ofmeasurement sensors. It is capable to do the all-time, automated measurementcollection of a variety of marine data in fixed waters. Compared with the traditionalmonitoring buoy which generally puts emphasis on the observation of waves andwind, the buoy observation in this thesis includes ocean current monitoring. Based onthe demand of marine sports events, the flow rate of the north current and east currentis measured, and then the flow direction and flow rate is acquired according toalgorithm.In order to ensure the accuracy of the current measurement data, while taking intoaccount of the measurement of the waves at the same time, the project team made alot of researches and experiments in terms of the stability and flowability of the buoyin wind wave and current tank in Key Laboratory of Shandong Province. The buoybodies which are suitable for different measured parameters are made according to theexperiment results. According to the characteristics of this National Games, the buoybody which is capable to measure both wave and current is finally designed. Thus theaccuracy of the current measured data is ensured. For example, in terms of thestructure of the buoy body, besides the employ of new materials, the underwaterinstrument compartment is added to reduce the influence of the buoy body on thecurrent meter. Besides, the height of the bottom bracket is increased, ensuring again the accuracy of the data.The ocean buoy system can be divided into three parts, body, anchor and receivingsystem. The main content of this thesis is the development of the receiving system ofbuoy, including the selection of communication mode, the formulation ofcommunication protocol, the implementation of three functions of communication,real-time data display and data storage and so on. The remarkable characteristics ofthe data receiving system introduced in this thesis are as follows. It can provideintuitive observation of flow direction through dynamic views; the query interfacetends to be more humane by adding daily and monthly query in the traditional intervalquery; the receiving system sets the functions of processing raw data and receivingdata as a whole by directly adding the original data conversion program in thereceiving programs.In this thesis, the program is written by employing VC++language, the softwaredevelopment platform is Visual Studio2010. On this basis, the interface landscapingis also emploied. The interface composes four parts, including real-time display,database viewer, management and system settings, with each part having its toolbarand display aera. Besides, communications settings, operating mode settings and otherfunctions are also added in the interface.After20days of trial operation, the integrated buoy was officially put into usebefore the opening of the Games. During the Games, buoys sent back over1,800setsof data, provoding accurate information on currents and waves for the players, makingcontribution to the success of Nationsl Games.
