Through the endoscope,Doctors can be observed the internal organs of the human body organization form directly,the body lesions,easily diagnose,and can also do some minimally invasive surgery.This is one of the important tools in modern medical diagnosis and treatment.However,early endoscopic system has no depth information and only provides two-dimensional plane image to the doctor,a doctor in the surgery required to empirically determine the depth of the state organs in the abdominal cavity,thus the potential risk of the surgical operation is increased.so can only be implemented relatively simple surgery.Increased the operation difficulty relative to the traditional laparotomy,and puts forward a higher requirements on endoscope system.Three-dimensional endoscope is presented and development in this context.A real-time video processing and display model is presented which is designed for stereo endoscope system based on Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA)to solve the stereo visualization and real-time display demands for endoscope surgery.By analyzing 3D visual fatigue and the functional requirements of minimally invasive endoscope surgery,this design features high-performance,low-cost,real-time under the comfortable premise.The system uses FPGA as master controller to complete the combination of the three mainly function modules: image acquisition,processing and display.Viewers can use stereo glasses to experience stereoscopic display effect.The system can achieve image freeze,2D / 3D switch,and camera functions,and can exhibit strong portability and good mobility without the computer control.In addition,combined with wireless communication and network technology,the real-time diagnostic and endoscope surgery data can transmit to a third-party hospital to realize remote control and surgical operations.The experimental results indicate that the system can accomplish real-time image display function in the three dimensional endoscope system,and has a multi-functional switch to optimize the stereo effect distortion and the viewing discomfort problems in the existing parallel binocular structure.Thus verified the feasibility and rationality of systemsolutions.
