Influenza viruses cause large morbidity and mortality to humans.Frequent outbreaks of avian influenza viruses in recent years have caused a large panic in human society.Rapid response and actions,such as isolation and vaccination,to the influenza epidemic in its early stage are very critical for its prevention and control.It relies on timely surveillance and accurate forecast and early-warnings of the influenza epidemics.Although the influenza surveillance has been conducted for more than 50 years by the Chinese National Influenza Centers(CNIC)in China,there is still a lack of an effective and unified platform for influenza surveillance and early-warnings.It is in great need to establish a unified,stable,efficient and data-exchangeable platform for the CNIC.The platform built in the work of this thesis,denoted as Influenza Information Collection and Prediction Platform,was established to accomplish informatization and intelligentize of national influenza prevention and control.The platform centered on all kinds of data generated in routine influenza surveillance.It could be used in the collection,processing,analysis and further investigation of the influenza surveillance data in real-time;moreover,the influenza surveillance data could be mapped in GIS by defining the correspongding indexes.Overall,the platform could be used in influenza surveillance for "all-weather,all-round,whole process".The platform integrated existed application system in CNIC,and adopt REST approach for each application architecture which accomplishs the loosse couple of subsystems.The Spring MVC was used build each system,which could separate the logic,controler and the front view.Due to the complexity of influenza surveillance,the platform use iBATIS as data persistence layer which effectively soluted the complex business of data operation.For fast response,the Cache machinery and Rule engineer was used to separate the business decision.Finally,a user-friendly interface was provided for the platform.In summary,the platform should help much in influenza surveillance conducted by CNIC.Besides,it is also useful for the public to timely understand the influenza epidemics.
