In recent years, the aggressive behavior of junior high school students has continued to occur, which has aroused the public and scholars' close attention to the mental health of junior high school students. As the first place of activity in life, the family is vital to the social development of individuals.A large number of studies have shown that the aggressive behavior of junior high school students is closely related to the parenting style, but there are relatively few studies on how the parenting style affects the aggressive behavior of junior high school students. This study randomly selected 360 junior high school students from a school in Baoding City for the study, using the "Chinese Version of the Simple Parenting Style Questionnaire","General Self-Efficacy Scale","Emotion Regulation Strategy Questionnaire" and "Aggressive Behavior Scale" Conduct tests to explore the relationship between parental rearing styles, general self-efficacy,emotional regulation strategies, and aggressive behaviors, and provide a theoretical basis for reducing aggressive behaviors of junior high school students and improving their mental health. The results of this study are as follows:(1)The aggressive behavior of junior high school students is basically in the middle-to-high state, the hostility score ranks first, and the lowest is physical attack. In terms of gender, girls' anger was more pronounced;in grades,second-year students showed higher physical aggression;students who were not class leaders had more significant aggression in physical aggression and total score.(2)The emotional warmth of the father/mother can directly and negatively predict the aggressive behavior of junior high school students, and it can also indirectly affect the aggressive behavior through cognitive reappraisal or the mediating effect of general self-efficacy and cognitive reappraisal.(3)Father/mother rejection can directly and positively predict the aggressive behavior of junior high school students, and father rejection can also indirectly affect aggressive behavior through the mediating effect of cognitive reappraisal.(4)Father/mother overprotection can positively predict aggressive behavior, and can also indirectly affect aggressive behavior through the mediating effect of cognitive reassessment. The results of the study show that positive parenting styles are beneficial to reduce the occurrence of aggressive behaviors of junior high school students, and can reduce aggressive behaviors by improving general self-efficacy and cognitive reappraisal.
