As an important place in the socialization process of deaf college students, the adjustment status at university has an important impact on their mental health, interpersonal communication and academic achievements. At the same time,it is of far-reaching significance to deaf students' future. For deaf college students from subcultures, universities as micro-societies do not explicitly require them to communicate and act in accordance with the language and behavior of college students in the hearing culture. But hearing culture in the field of higher education is a strong culture infiltrated in all aspects of school life, learning, and interpersonal communication for deaf college students.Imperceptibly putting pressure on deaf college students will inevitably lead to difficulties and barriers in school adjustment. In this study,268 deaf college students from a college of Changchun were selected as the research subjects, and 6 students were selected as the interview subjects.Base on the premise of the deaf culture and sign language, this study views social adaptation theory as the starting point, combining the theory of cultural capital in the field of sociology.Questionnaires and interviews were used to analyze the learning adjustment, life adjustment and interpersonal adjustment,in order to explore the current situation of school adjustment of deaf college students. The results of study of deaf college students' adjustment in the university are as follows: deaf college students have a high level of school adjustment in general;bicultural attributes are particularly prominent in interpersonal adjustment of deaf students;gender, mother's diploma and the situation of only child of family are significantly associated with learning adjustment;communication barriers are bad for deaf students' real-life adjustment.Draw the following conclusions:1.As a minority group in the school, deaf college students still have communication barriers in the process of interacting with hearing college students.2.The family education of deaf students is helpful for school education.3.Group belonging and positive identity help deaf college students to achieve good school adaptation.4.Deaf college students still expect to receive more support about school adjustment. To improve the adjustment level of deaf college students, this paper brings up with suggestions: the special characteristics of linguistic and culture of deaf college students need to be more widely recognized and accepted;strengthen the promotion of the integration of deaf culture and hearing culture in schools;improve the level of accessibility on campus to build a good living and learning environment;create a good family education atmosphere to play its basic role in school education. The good school adjustment of deaf students mainly benefits from group belonging and positive identity. On the basis of respecting the culture, language, and unique social attributes,we should grasp and make use of this conclusion to create an interactive space for deaf and hearing college students, enhance the communication of the two cultures, and build bridges for deaf students to adapt to society.
