Vocational colleges are an important part of vocational education in China,and are responsible for the task of training high-skilled and applied professionals who are oriented to the production,construction,service and management of the first line.With the continuous development of higher vocational education in China,the importance of administrative staff in higher vocational colleges has been more and more highlighted.As far as the present situation is concerned,there are still imperfections in the performance appraisal method of administrative personnel in our country's higher vocational colleges,which makes the content of performance appraisal simple and too formal.The characteristic of the administrative staff is a strong degree of modernization and professionalization in their work.To evaluate and improve the comprehensive quality of the administrative staff of higher vocational colleges,it is necessary to have a set of scientific and effective performance appraisal methods.Therefore,it is vital for vocational colleges to improve and complete the performance appraisal method,as it plays a positive role in promoting the long-term development of higher vocational colleges to a certain extent.This paper mainly studies the performance appraisal of administrative staff of higher vocational colleges in Chongqing.By comparing the relevant research on the performance appraisal of administrative staff in higher vocational colleges at home and abroad,we use empirical research methods to analyze the current situation,problems and causes of the performance appraisal of the executives of higher vocational colleges in Chongqing,and finally put forward countermeasures and suggestions in combination with the relevant theories.This paper uses the combination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis,and completes the following main research contents.First,this paper makes a theoretical analysis of the performance appraisal of the administrative staff of higher vocational colleges.Through the use of literature analysis,the characteristics of performance appraisal of administrative staff in higher vocational colleges,the main influencing factors and their differences regarding different colleges are analyzed from multiple perspectives,such as 360-degree performance appraisal method,key performance index method(KPI),integral system management theory and questionnaire survey method.Second,this paper discusses the status and problems of the performance appraisal of the administrative staff of higher vocational colleges in Chongqing.By analyzing the background as well as the organizational structure of administrative staff,the performance appraisal process and system of administrative staff,and the performance measurement method of administrative personnel's integral system in Chongqing vocational colleges,the problems in the performance appraisal of the executives of higher vocational colleges in Chongqing are analyzed empirically.The problems that exists can be summarized in four aspects,one is the assessment content is not targeted;the second is the quantitative standard affects the work initiative;thirdly,assessment results are not fully feedback and use;fourthly,the assessment team is not sound enough.Third,the paper analyzes the cause of the problem.Through in-depth discussion of the main impact of Chongqing higher vocational colleges on the performance appraisal of administrative staff,and then combined with the actual situation of administrative staff for in-depth analysis,the author applies questionnaires,interviews to summarize and sort out the problems of executive performance appraisal and the key to the problems.At the same time,combined with the relevant theory of performance appraisal,the causes of the problems existing in the performance appraisal of the administrative staff of Chongqing higher vocational colleges are analyzed.Finally,this paper states the conclusion and suggested strategy to the problem.Based on the full-text research and analysis,combined with the results of the theoretical analysis and empirical analysis of the performance appraisal of the executives of higher vocational colleges in Chongqing,the strategies for optimizing the performance appraisal of the administrative staff of Chongqing higher vocational colleges include the following four items: First,strengthen the performance assessment management of the administrative staff.Second,improve the integral system for evaluation.Third,improve the safeguard mechanism for administrative staff.Fourth,complete the supervisory department.
