Young children have poor abstract logical thinking ability in early childhood.They mainly through visual contact or imitating movements and other specific imaginary thinking ability to learn.Therefore,the best education is to integrate the teaching content into sports games and activities for young children.This paper uses the method of discipline integration to combine young children's mathematical knowledge with sports activities and design young children's sports activities of discipline integration.This paper probes into the influence of sports activities of discipline integration on the mathematical ability of 3 to 6 years old children,then puts forward a new way for the cultivation of 3 to 6 years old children's mathematical ability.This paper uses literature review,interview,experiment and mathematical statistics to study.First of all,design sports activities of discipline integration then make an experimental research.Secondly,120 children aged between 3 to 6 years old were selected from Windsor kindergarten in Dalian and divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group was taught by sports activities of discipline integration and the control group was taught by routine activities of physical education.Finally,the mathematical ability of children in experimental group and control group were measured by using the testing content of mathematical ability in the Encyclopedia of Children's Intelligence Development,in order to verify the effect of 12 weeks intervention of sports activities on children's mathematical ability.The main results are as follows:(1)The sports activities of discipline integration designed in this study are suitable for the law of somatopsychic development of children,3 to 6 years old children can complete the activities successfully under the guidance of teachers.(2)After 12 weeks experimental intervention,the mathematical ability of 3 to 6 years old children shows a very significantly difference than before intervention(P<0.01).The intervention of both sports activities of discipline integration and routine activities of physical education could improve the mathematical ability of 3 to 6 years old children effectively.However,the difference between the post-test results and the previous test results of the experimental group and the control group is further compared,there is a very significantly difference in mathematical ability between experimental group and control group at the age of 3 to 4 years old children(P<0.01).There was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group between 4 and 6 years old(P<0.05).It indicates that sports activities of discipline integration are more significant effective on the improvement of mathematical ability of children at the age of 3 to 6 years old through comparing with routine sports activities.Conclusions:(1)Sports activities integrated with mathematics can be realized in education for young children.(2)Sports activities of discipline integration designed by this research can effectively improve the mathematical ability and physical quality of young children aged between 3-6 years old.Suggestions:(1)Kindergarten teachers in the future sports teaching should pay attention to carrying out interdisciplinary integrated education activities,play a multi-disciplinary education function,to promote the all-round development of children.(2)It is suggested that make the young children's sports activities of discipline integration should be widely popularized.It will enhance young children's body function meanwhile improving mathematical ability.
