Education is the key to a century's work;teachers are the key to education.As the source of living water for education,the physical and mental health of teachers are important factors for the quality of education.In recent years,there have been numerous studies on teacher burnout.The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between burnout,psychological capital and sense of teaching effectiveness among primary school teachers in China and understand their internal mechanisms,so as to provide empirical reference for alleviating burnout,enhancing teaching effectiveness and maintaining psychological health.The study used the Primary and Secondary School Teacher Burnout Scale,the Primary and Secondary School Teacher Psychological Capital Questionnaire and the Teacher Teaching Effectiveness Scale to survey 384 primary school teachers and analyzed and processed the data using SPSS21.0 software,and the following conclusions were obtained.(1)The level of burnout among primary school teachers is below the theoretical average and in good condition.The overall level of psychological capital and sense of pedagogical effectiveness is above the theoretical average and the overall situation is moderately high.(2)There are significant differences in primary school teachers' burnout in terms of region,age and title;significant differences in psychological capital in terms of education and title;and significant differences in teaching effectiveness in terms of availability,region,age,teaching age and title.(3)Primary school teachers' burnout,psychological capital,and sense of teaching effectiveness are both related.(4)Psychological capital and its optimism and hope dimensions can predict teacher burnout;teaching effectiveness and all dimensions have significant predictive effects on teacher burnout and psychological capital.(5)Psychological capital mediates between professional burnout and a sense of teaching effectiveness among primary school teachers.
