After entering the 21 st century,teachers are in the tide of times changes and education reform.Shouldering heavier mission and bearing bigger working pressure,the teachers suffer from more prominent professional burnout.The intervention and guidance of teachers’ professional burnout is of great significance to the improvement of teachers’ physical and mental health and education quality.Besides,through literature search,it is found that the cultivation and development of individual psychological capital has become a hot topic in current human resource management.Therefore,based on the Job Demand-Resource Theory,this paper studies the relationship between working pressure and teachers’ professional burnout,and investigates the regulating effect of psychological capital variables.Finally,according to the research results,the paper puts forward some strategies and suggestions to prevent and relieve teachers’ burnout.In this study,196 senior high school English teachers in Qingzhou were investigated with the revised teacher burnout scale,working pressure scale and psychological capital scale.After using SPSS 24.0 to analyze the data,the following results were obtained:(1)High school English teachers in Qingzhou have higher working pressure and psychological capital level.The overall level of professional burnout is not very serious,and the average of emotional exhaustion is the highest.(2)Part of the dimensions and the total average score of professional burnout have significant differences in gender,teaching age,teaching school,marital status and other demographic variables,but there is no significant difference in academic qualifications and professional titles.(3)Working pressure has a significant positive effect on the total average score,emotional exhaustion dimension and impersonal dimension of professional burnout,but has no significant effect on individual accomplishment dimension.(4)Psychological capital has a significant negative impact on the total average score of professional burnout,emotional exhaustion dimension and impersonal dimension,but has a significant positive impact on individual accomplishment dimension.(5)The moderating effect of psychological capital on working pressure and professional burnout is established.The moderating effect of psychological capital on working pressure and impersonal dimension is established,but the moderating effect on working pressure and emotional exhaustion dimension,and on working pressure and individual accomplishment dimension is not established.
