With the continuous attention of the basic education,the basic education reform continues to be deepened and vigorously promotes the reform of various disciplines.According to the teaching characteristics of natural science,inquiry teaching which could promote students' ability of independent learning,group cooperation and inquiry thinking had been widely concerned and applied.In recent years,the research on the relevant literature of science teaching in primary schools was gradually increased.But its application basically focused on the theoretical model,process analysis and evaluation system.Fewer research was involved in inquiry classroom teaching of science course.In this study a primary school in Wafangdian City,Liaoning Province was taken as an example to research the application of inquiry teaching in the field of life science in the primary school science curriculum,trying to find the advantages and problems of inquiry teaching in the classroom teaching process and the changes of students' comprehensive ability with the help of the inquiry teaching plan in the field of life science teaching in the primary school science curriculum.The current situation and future prospects of the application of inquiry teaching in science subjects were summarized through a series of pathways such as comparative study of relevant literature,classroom records,curriculum evaluation,student performance and other contents,surveys of relevant teachers and students as well as a horizontal comparison of the teaching results of the senior primary school so as to deepen the application of inquiry teaching science classroom.The results were as follows:Inquiry teaching is helpful to pupils' scientific inquiry ability,scientific attitude and academic achievement,and should be popularized in primary school science class.Relevant suggestions were then given as followed :(1)Classroom acquisition focuses on exploration.Attach importance to the cultivation of students' scientific attitude and scientific inquiry ability,so that students can make full use of the wisdom acquired in class and gain the experience of inquiry activities.(2)Teacher training improves quality.Improve the quality of inquiry teaching and the professional quality of the subject.Strengthen the vocational training of teachers on the basis of understanding the meaning of inquiry,skillfully apply inquiry teaching to subject teaching.(3)Teaching evaluation should be in multi-level.Classroom teaching evaluation should have multi-level evaluation indexes.Encourage students to study and evaluate independentlyor mutually.From of The current learning situation of students grasped from the multi-dimensional will benefit for targeted learning guidance.
