Population Population flow is an inevitable result of social development. With the development of China's economy, population flow has developed from "individual flow" to "family flow".The number of children who follow the flow has become larger and larger, and their growth has attracted attention from the whole society.Developmental psychology believes that family, school, peers and media are the four most influential factors in children's growth. With the development of technology and the ever-changing media environment, social media has become an indispensable part of people's life.Faced with the instability and complexity of the growing environment,it is common for the media to act as an "electronic nanny" among the migrant children, which makes it difficult for the migrant children to grow without being influenced by the media.migrant female children are a vulnerable group of marginalized groups. It is of great significance for migrant female children to learn how to use social media to promote their integration into society and realize their individual value. This paper takes the migrant female children in Kunming CF Community as the research object, and uses questionnaire survey, participation observation and in-depth interview to investigate and show the current situation of the migrant female children's social media use,the dilemma of urban social integration, and the relationship between social media using and urban social integration from both macro and micro levels. The paper is divided into 5 chapters and an introduction.First, the introduction sorts out the relevant literature and defines the main three concepts strictly. The first chapter summarizes and elaborates relevant theories, then raises questions, determines research methods and elaborates the research implementation process. Then, chapter two and chapter three are macro and micro results of this survey.Based on the macro analysis of the questionnaire survey, the background of the migrant girl population, the current situation of social media use and the current situation of urban social integration are objectively presented. The correlation between social media use and urban social integration is analyzed after controlling the relevant demographic variables. The analysis finds that: the nature of the school, the family economy and the parent-child relationship affect the integration of migrant female children. The integration of migrant female children in public schools is better than that in private schools. The better the family economy and parent-child are,the better the integration of migrant female children in the society will be.After controlling relevant demographic background factors, the correlation analysis finds that if migrant female children to use social media more clearly and positively, they will integrate in to society better;if the information focus will be more extensive or the network social objects will be more diverse, the integration of migrant female children will be better. The higher the degree of satisfaction of mood changes, the worse the integration of migrant female children will become.Based on the micro analysis of in-depth interviews and participation observation,we analyze the specific behaviors of migrant female children in social media, and we find that dilemma of identity what migrant female children will face in the process of social media use includes institutional identity, gender identity and cultural identity. In addition, there are subjective and objective problems in the process of identity identification. On the objective level, the spread of male-dominated perspective hinders the establishment of the idea of equality, and the phenomenon of objectification of women is not conducive to girls' self-cognition.On the subjective level, migrant female children are influenced by multiple factors which result in their weak awareness of the subject of communication activities on social media, and their self-presentation is dependent on males. Finally,on the basis of the above analysis results,we make suggestions to migrant female children, families, schools, media, communities and governments from conceptual and practical perspectives, and we hope to help migrant female children integrate into society through social media.
