Study On The Social Integration Of The Children Of Urban Migrant Workers

Since the 1980 s,with the dual transformation of society and economy,China has emerged the largest group of migrant workers in the history of development.After that,with the increasing trend of familization,the family of migrant workers has flooded into cities,resulting in the increasing number of migrant children.Become a special and huge group in the process of urbanization.On the one hand,as new participants in urban life,they have special needs for material life,value identification and social integration,and on the other hand,due to economic,institutional,cultural and ideological constraints.The social integration of migrant migrant workers 'children has many difficulties,language communication is not smooth,school atmosphere is not suitable,living conditions are very different from those of urban residents,etc… In addition,parents,families,schools and society still have shortcomings in education and guidance.This leads to some psychological and life incommensurate children,and even some behavioral problems.Therefore,the social integration of migrant workers with their children is urgent.Of course,their integration plays an important role in the harmony and stability of the entire society and the progress of civilization.As the leader of the development of the country's county towns,Changshu has attracted more and more floating people with its strong economic base and unique natural environment.The number of children of migrant workers in Changshu is relatively large,and is on the trend of increasing growth.In order to further promote their roots,integration and development in Changshu,Changshu has made certain explorations and achieved certain results.For example,it has taken the lead in the development and launch of the "Changshu City Mobile Children's Information Management Platform" in the province.To undertake the corresponding management and service to the dependent children;The implementation of the new citizen points management,the realization of children with the transfer points admission,points into the doctor;Supporting migrant workers 'children's schools and so on.Through the analysis of relevant studies in other provinces,cities and even abroad,and the special sample survey of the children of migrant workers in Changshu,we find that although Changshu city government has many innovative points in this work,it has played a certain role.However,there is still a gap between the expectations of migrant workers 'families and those of migrant children and the fundamental requirements for harmonious development of society.There are still some deficiencies in the coverage and effectiveness of migrant children's social integration.Especially in the aspect of survival status,value orientation,and social identity,there is a large psychological gap for the children who have moved,and this is ultimately caused by the differences between the economy,the system,and the culture.On the basis of theoretical research and realistic investigation,the author concludes that there are social reasons for the difficulties of social integration of children of migrant workers in Changshu,as well as family and personal reasons for the children of migrant workers.How to "treat the symptoms" ? In the generalized dimension system,the author distinguishes four levels:government departments,communities,schools,and social organizations,focusing on key issues such as children's education and psychology.It proposes ways to solve the problem by adjusting the household registration system,improving the public service system,and guiding public opinion,and innovatively puts forward ways and means to help and care through project-oriented,voluntary,and socialized means.We will better serve migrant workers and their children,promote the growth of migrant workers 'children,gradually eliminate the difficulties of social integration,and practice the urban spirit of Changshu Chongwen,Shanghe,innovating and transcending.
