Many students entered the high school where the author worked with a high score of 140 or above in the middle school entrance exam. However, they did not well adapt themselves to the teaching of mathematics in high school, and their mathematics performance dropped significantly.Top students in the past became mathematics low-achievers.That mathematics is difficult to learn has become a common state of high school learning. In order to explore the reasons for the drop in students' mathematics achievement and provide the frontline teachers with teaching suggestions, the author conducted a review of relevant research literature on constructivism theory, zone of proximal development theory, system theory and learning transfer theory.Through questionnaire survey, interview and case analysis, this study took high school students and junior high school mathematics teachers in a private school in Suining City as the research objects, and investigated the current situation and the issues of mathematics linkage teaching in middle and high schools, and thereby proposed corresponding suggestions from the perspective of both junior high school and senior high school. Finally,a cases of Induction Formula of Trigonometric Function was presented. It was found that the reasons for the decline in students' mathematics performance include the following aspects:(1)there is disjunction in mathematics knowledge of junior and high school, students fail to meet the requirements from junior mathematics;(2)the students' thoughts are lax,and their learning methods are improper;(3)there is atough staring point in senior mathematics and students have insufficient learning abilities;(4)a proper Mathematics bridging teaching methods in senior high is needed;(5)without enough communication between the teachers in junior high and senior high, they can't have a good knowledge of each other's curriculum and language system. In view of the above-mentioned issues, the author proposed the following suggestions from five aspects: knowledge, learning method, teaching method, cohesive methods and communication between junior and high school teachers:(1)junior high school mathematics teachers should find the right connection points and expand them appropriately, high school teachers should find out the relevant knowledge points, and compile school-based textbooks;(2)guide the learning method;(3)change teaching methods, pay attention to the connection of teaching methods;(4)integrate the connecting contents between junior and high School into daily teaching;(5)strengthen communications and discussions between mathematics teachers in middle and high schools. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed strategies was evaluated through a teaching experiment. The experimental results show that the use of the bridging strategies and the integration of connecting knowledge into daily teaching had a significantly positive effect on the students' mathematics achievement.
