Mathematics teaching is actually the teaching of mathematics language.The ability to express the world in the language of mathematics is also one of the "three abilities" proposed in the "general high school mathematics curriculum standards(2017edition)".Mathematical language can be divided into three types according to the form of expression(text language,chart language,symbolic language).Different forms of representation present different characteristics of mathematical objects.Therefore,the interconversion among the three mathematical languages and the internal conversion of the same mathematical language is not negligible in mathematical learning;The conversion of mathematical language can help learners to have a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts,theorems and other related concepts.It can also bring the thinking and inspiration to the problem solver.Therefore,it is of theoretical and practical significance to explore the framework of conversion ability of mathematical language and students' performance.Firstly,this paper studies the framework of ability of mathematical language conversion.This paper analyzes and collates the relevant literature on mathematical language,mathematical language ability,mathematical language conversion ability and multivariate representation,clarifying its concept,components,research methods,etc.Next,based on the classification of mathematical language and the concept of mathematical language conversion ability,the framework of mathematical language conversion ability is improved on the basis of existing studies,referring to relevant literature;And according to this framework,a questionnaire of mathematical language conversion ability was prepared based on the function content to test the students.The following conclusions are drawn from the analysis of the data: first,the analysis of students' answers under different conversion types,the typical errors of students in the process of functional learning are obtained from the perspective of mathematical language conversion,combined with interviews with teachers and students.By comparing the average score with the students' cognition,the transition from sign language to chart language is a difficult point for students in function learning;The second is the result of correlation analysis.It shows that there is a strong correlation between the students' math scores and the scores in the math language conversion ability questionnaire and the correlation coefficient was 0.536.The correlation betweenthe interconversion of the same expression form and the mathematics achievement is larger than that between the different expressions.The third is the result of difference analysis.There was no significant difference between the two schools in Zhuzhou,Hunan province and chengdu,Sichuan province in the total scores of math language conversion.However,there are significant differences and negative values of t in the dimension of equivalent conversion of sign language.It shows that the score of the school in Hunan province is lower than that of the school in Sichuan province.Finally,some suggestions are provided for the teachers' teaching based on the research conclusion,...
