As an expression of scientific thoughts, mathematical language is not only an important part of mathematical action, but also a carrier of mathematical knowledge and mathematical thinking, providing a powerful tool for mathematical communication. We can even say "mathematics teaching equals to the teaching of mathematical language". Therefore, it's an unavoidable subject of mathematics teaching to teach the students the way to use mathematical language and stress on the cultivation of students' mathematical language ability. In this paper, we will have an investigation and analysis of the present situation of high school students' mathematical language ability, aiming at the cultivation of mathematical language ability and the mathematics teaching in Senior Middle School. The conclusion holds that the cultivation of mathematical language ability helps to promote the teaching benefit. Furthermore, in this paper, we will propose some practical teaching strategies based on the new course standard according to the exploration of the cultivation strategies of students' mathematical language ability..This paper consists six chapters altogether.Chapter One: It expounds the main problems, the basis of choice the subject, and the practicalsignificance of the issue.Chapter Two: It introduces the relevant theoretical research of interior and international mathematical language and mathematical language abilityChapter Three: It mainly expounds the definition of mathematical language ability and the classification of basic mathematical language ability. In this chapter, we will definite the disputed mathematical language ability starting from six aspects: looking, listening, reading, thinking, speaking, writing, concluding that mathematical language ability can be summarized as core "three-ability"-comprehension, conversion ability, expression ability.Chapter Four: It mainly introduces the design and implementation of this study to the investigation of the present situation of high school students' mathematical language ability. We can get the convincing information and data of the present situation of high school students' mathematical language ability by means of investigation and interview.Chapter Five: It mainly reveals the students' practical problems and the origin of them according to the questionnaires, the data, the statistics and the analysis of the research. Besides, it indicates the correlation between the cultivation of mathematical language ability and teaching effect by means of the experimental research of mathematical language ability.Chapter Six: It presents the specific practice of the strategies of the cultivation of high school students' mathematical language ability, which is mostly concentrated on the six basic links: looking, listening, reading, thinking, speaking, writing corresponding the "three-ability".
