Mathematical language, in a narrow sense, refers to the language of mathematical signs whereas in a broad sense, it refers to all the languages that are used to reflect the relationships between numbers and the dimensional space. It is the media to convey mathematical knowledge and the tool to conduct mathematical thought and communication, as well as the reflection form of mathematical ideal. Mathematical language possesses the characteristics of brevity, exactness, abstractness and preciseness. The conversion of mathematical languages is based on the classification of the mathematical languages: either a certain form to explain a definition, a theorem, a formula or a character is converted into another type of mathematical language, or natural language is converted into mathematical language.Today, the mathematical language in teaching has attracted more and more attention. The conversion of mathematical languages is closely related to both the parties of teaching and studying. However, what is the relationship between mathematical language and math study, how to cultivate the students' ability to convert mathematical languages, what should be focused on during the process of teaching and studying, people's ideas about these questions are still to be improved. This paper starts its argumentation from the historical process of the emergence and development of the mathematical language, makes full analysis on the philosophical basis of its theory and develop it by discarding the erroneous part; simultaneously the paper synthesize the modern educational theories and discusses to depth the definition of mathematical language, the types of the conversion of mathematical languages as well as its influence on the math study. The paper puts forward the concrete practical concepts of the employment of the conversion of mathematical language during the in-class activities. On the basis of ample examples, the author points out the problems commonly existing in students' study and hence summarizes the concrete strategies to the problems.
