Case Study On The Interpersonal Difficulties Of Children From Single Parent Families

With the acceleration of the pace of modern life,the traditional marriage structure in China is also slowly changing,among which there are more and more single-parent families.First of all,it is these children from single-parent families.Due to the lack of parental role and the young age,they will be more insecure,which will lead to a series of psychological problems over time,which will affect their future study,work,life,friends and other aspects.They need more acceptance and support from peer groups,but children from single-parent families are prone to interpersonal communication problems due to their own cognition,so this group needs professional help and research to alleviate their difficulties.In this paper,the method of case intervention is used to provide social services for a sixth-grade single parent child L in railway new village community.Through participative observation and in-depth interview,it is found that the client has three problems: first,the psychological cognition is relatively negative and pessimistic;second,the growing environment leads to the client's lack of family care;third,the client lacks certain skills in interpersonal communication.The author will use the case work method to help the service object to correctly understand themselves,and make full use of the communication theory to reach an agreement with the client's parents,to assist the client's family to establish a good communication channel,to create a harmonious family atmosphere for the client;Excavate the potential advantages of the client,seek the support of the surrounding peer groups,and regain the friendship;Actively build a bridge between the client's family and social activities,enrich the extracurricular life,hope every child can have a complete and happy childhood.The significance of this study lies in that the method of case work of social work is used to help children from single-parent families to solve their difficulties in interpersonal communication.The innovation is to use the theory of communication and the theory of advantage perspective to explore the potential ability of the client,promote the play of their advantages,and realize the healthy development of individual body and mind.To carry out the problems in the practice process,make a summary and reflection on three: first,to correct the wrong cognition single-parent families children,followed by the use of communication theory and edge Angle of view to help the service object to set up confidence,finally,the case work intervention should be to study the practical difficulties of single-parent families children,starting from the fundamental,advocacy care.Through this case intervention,a social work case service was completed,which increased the practical experience of the case work in the study of this issue,and it is expected to provide some materials for the study of the interpersonal communication of children from single-parent families in the future.
