The World Health Organization(WHO)defines the age of puberty as 10 to 20 years old,which is a critical period for the physical and mental development of an individual.The age range of senior high school students in China is generally 15 to 18 years old,which is in the middle or late stages of puberty.There are more significant changes in physiology and psychology of students in this period.If they are not promptly and correctly guided,many confusions and adverse consequences may occur.On the basis of previous studies,this study developed a questionnaire,which surveyed 8 different high school classes in three different first-level schools in Fujian Province from five dimensions: sexual physiology,sexual psychology and sexual morality,fertility cognition and attitude,sexual legal concept and the current situation of sex education in schools.The results show that the sexual education in senior high schools has not received effective attention.Adolescents' lack of sexual knowledge,openness of sexual concept and weak awareness of sexual law are worrying.Through interviews with 7 high school biology teachers of different teaching ages,integration of related materials and case teaching,a feasible way to conduct sex education in senior high schools is proposed,namely the teaching mode of "permeating sex education in biology teaching mainly,supplemented by students' independent learning or theme activities of sex education ".Through the comprehensive analysis of the biological curriculum standard of ordinary high schools(2017),the writer finds out the curriculum content related to sex education(taking compulsory courses,selective compulsory courses module 1 and module 2 as examples)as the entry point to determine eight themes of sex education lessons,each lesson including seven parts: curriculum content analysis and teaching suggestions,sex education teaching objectives,implementation forms,teaching methods,students' self-learning tasks and effectiveness evaluation(or sex education thematic activities),knowledge links,pictures and video links.These findings are not only for teachers' reference,but enrich the research system of sex education in middle schools in China from the theoretical and practical perspectives.
