Rooted in Confucianism,the Chinese traditional teacher's Tao has been passed down far and wide since the time of Confucius.The saying in HanYu's “Argumentation about Teacher”,“Teacher is one who could propagate the doctrine,impart knowledge and resolve doubts”,is a concentrated expression of the connotation of Chinese teacher's Tao.Through searching more than 70 articles written by famous scholars and writers of the20 th century about “Chinese Teacher” to explore the image characteristics of the Chinese teachers in their works and the embodiment and significance of the inheritance of teacher's Tao.The author of this thesis intends to analyze the personality charm,personality style and teaching characteristics of “Chinese Teachers” in such an era.Moreover,these articles have intentionally or unintentionally become the “treasure chest” of our Chinese teaching today.This thesis takes “ propagating the doctrine,imparting knowledge and resolving doubts” as the main line of the conception and structure of the full text.“Propagating the doctrine” stresses the spiritual influence and personality influence of the teachers.The reason why the professional group of “Chinese Teachers” in the 20 th century was frequently written by famous scholars,is because they show their persistence to the spirit of the teachers' Tao,they are a symbol of the noble personality of the teachers,and they reflect the modern transformation and inheritance of the teacher's Tao in the past century.“Imparting knowledge and resolving doubts” focuses on the individual image and teaching characteristics of the teachers.It must be their unique personality and teaching methods that they were recalled in the works of famous scholars.This thesis mainly uses case study method and summary induction method.Typical texts of “Chinese Teachers” are analyzed scrupulously,then the common pursuit of the teacher's inheritance in teachers' Tao and teaching methods,and the enlightenment to the current Chinese curriculum reform and teacher professional development are further summarized.
