The whole book reading has a long historical tradition.In the newly revised Chinese Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools in 2017,it has been identified as one of the learning tasks that run through the compulsory and optional courses in senior high schools.The new curriculum standard not only strongly advocates the whole book reading,but also emphasizes the core position of the cultivation of the core literacy of Chinese in senior high school Chinese teaching.How to carry out the cultivation of high school Chinese core literacy in the whole book reading is the key proposition to achieve the teaching objectives of Chinese subject,and also the research proposition of this paper.The paper is divided into three parts.The first part elaborates the writing basis of the paper.The second part outlines the core literacy training practice and theoretical research based on the whole book reading.The third part explores the implementation strategy of the core literacy training based on the whole book reading,and lists the teaching design examples of related topics.Chapter one analyses five problems in current teaching: insufficient attention,lack of guidance,lack of balance,lack of creativity and lack of profundity through investigation and interview.Chapter two combs the book's reading with curriculum standards and current theoretical research results to cultivate core literacy,establish correct value attitude,enhance key competence,shape essential character and implement language.Four specific meanings of "practical activities" are discussed,and the "ecological dilemma of teachers' reading","paradox of whole book reading proposition","dilemma of teaching implementation of cultivating core literacy" are analyzed.Then,the Breakthrough Strategies of these dilemmas are explored.Chapter III explores the current situation of cultivating core literacy in the whole book reading according to the investigation and rational thinking of the first two chapters,and combines the instructions of the new curriculum standard.Four teaching strategies for the cultivation of high school Chinese core literacy based on the reading of the whole book are put forward: reading and appreciation: exploring the reading path of the whole book;expression and communication: optimizing the implementation of core literacy cultivation;combing and exploration: running through the system of Chinese education;detection and evaluation: driving and escorting the cultivation of core literacy for the reading of the whole book;the fourth chapter is the research basis of the first three chapters.Taking the whole book of A Dream of Red Mansions as an example,this paper studies the teaching value ofthe whole book and writes the relevant teaching design.
