The 2022 edition of the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education places "whole book reading" as the first of the extended learning task group,and proposes and clarifies the core literacy of Chinese subject in the compulsory education stage,which plays a guiding role in the development and implementation of current Chinese education.When carrying out the teaching of whole book reading,teachers should pay attention to the content and requirements of the core literacy of Chinese,so as to make the design and implementation of whole book reading more reasonable and scientific.Based on this consideration,this study,based on the specific content and requirements of Chinese core literacy,aims to cultivate and improve students’ Chinese core literacy,uses the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey and experience summary to conduct research on the teaching of whole book reading based on Chinese core literacy,and puts forward teaching strategies for whole book reading,and takes the classic novel Journey to the West as an example to carry out a specific teaching design of the whole book reading.The study is divided into three parts:introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction introduces the research background,research significance,literature review,research ideas,and research methods of this paper.The main text consists of four chapters.Based on the current theoretical research results,the first chapter clarifies the core concepts and theoretical basis of this study,and explores the significance of the whole book reading teaching based on Chinese core literacy.The second chapter uses questionnaire survey to understand the current implementation status of the whole book reading teaching,and makes attribution analysis of the existing problems,providing a realistic basis for the follow-up research.Chapter Three,based on theoretical research and current situation analysis,explores four teaching strategies from the perspective of Chinese core literacy:"organizing pragmatic activities,promoting language accumulation and application,""adopting multiple forms to improve the quality of thinking," "appreciating language art,improving aesthetic taste," "dialectically treating cultural phenomena,and deepening cultural understanding."Chapter 4,based on the previous three chapters,taking Journey to the West as an example,which is recommended in the first volume of the seventh grade textbook of the Ministry of Education,to conduct an example of teaching design for the whole book reading based on Chinese core literacy,specifically including teaching objectives and course planning,classroom implementation process,and teaching evaluation.The conclusion is the summary of the entire research process and results,and puts forward the prospect of the research.
