With the rapid development of China's film and television industry,the film with its unique charm has played a huge role in shaping the image of primary and secondary school teachers since 1949.Teacher image is the public's cognition of the role of teachers as educators,which can reflect the expectations of the society on teachers in different times and reflect the specific educational philosophy and value pursuit.The analysis of the image changes of primary and secondary school teachers in Chinese movies is not only conducive to the scientific construction of the image of teachers by social media,but also conducive to the in-depth understanding of teachers' own image from the perspective of history.In order to analyze the image changes of primary and secondary school teachers in Chinese movies,this study is based on the theory of corporate image(CIS),using the comparative method,historical method and content analysis method,and analyzes the changes of teacher image in selected films from three levels:"what","how" and "why".The study reveals the "what" of the changes in teacher images by combining quantitative research and qualitative research.After screening,the study identified 78 teachers in the film for quantitative analysis,revealing the characteristics of teachers in gender,urban and rural areas and education stage.Meanwhile,46 teachers are further selected to do in-depth qualitative research.Based on the background of the times,the change of the teacher image in the film since 1949 are divided into five stages according to the different social background,and the teacher image of each stage was described in depth from the visual identity,behavior identity and mind identity.After making clear the stage characteristics of the of teacher images in films since 1949,the study also analyzes its changing characteristics and reveals the "how" of the changes in teacher images.The study compares and analyzes the teacher images at all stages in China,and found that teacher visual identity has changed from stereotyped to diversified,teacher behavior identity has both time and inheritance,teacher mind identity has changed from focusing on collective interests to self-development.Based on the analysis of many primary and secondary school teacher images presented in movies since 1949,the study attempts to show the dynamic mechanism of the influencing factors of teacher image construction and reveal the why of the changes in teacher images.Teacher images are shaped based on a certain purpose.In the process of shaping teacher images,it will be affected by political systems,cultural ideas,education systems,and teachers themselves.The teacher's image is presented through movies,which will affect the public's perception of teachers and lead the mainstream value of society.In turn,the public can influence the creation of teacher images in movies by creating public opinion and controlling consumption,and then influence the shaping of teacher images.
