In early childhood,the ability of emotional understanding can help children understand the causes of emotion,understand the feelings of others,and use appropriate ways to express their emotions when communicating with others.Result of the better emotional understanding,the more popular the child is in partnering,which is because the child can better accept and deal with the information of interpersonal interaction.The ability of young children to have good emotional understanding has become an important basis for a series of adaptive behavior and school preparation of social ability.Studies have shown that co-reading of emotional picture books between parents and children improves children's emotional understanding.But what kind of co-reading method to help parents better explore the value of emotion picture book education,take the emotion picture book as the carrier,in the common reading with the child to talk about the emotion,help the child to understand the emotion better becomes the important question which puzzles the parent.Therefore,this study explores the effect of emotion talk on children's emotional understanding,which can be used for reference in parent-child emotional education.In this study,a total of 41 children and their parents in two middle classes of kindergarten B were selected as experimental group and control group.The researchers selected mood picture books that were happy,angry,sad and fear of four basic emotions for a 13-week reading of parent-child emotion picture books.The independent variable of this study is the parent-child emotion talk,and the dependent variable is the child's emotional comprehension ability.In the measurement of young children's emotional understanding,this study used the "emotional understanding test"(TEC)compiled by Pons et al.(2004)to pre-test and post-test the children's emotional understanding ability in the experimental group and the control group,and compared the results of the experimental group and the control group.The statistical analysis of SPSSS20.0 results in the following conclusions:1.The way of parent-child emotion talk plays an important role in identifying the external causes of emotion,the emotion based on belief,the emotion based on memory,understanding the coexistence of multiple emotions,and understanding thefive dimensions of moral emotion.2.The influence of parent-child emotion talk on children's emotional understanding was not significant in the three dimensions of emotion understanding the possibility of hiding emotion and understanding the possibility of emotion regulation.3.The way of parent-child emotion talk can promote the development of children's emotional understanding on the whole.It can promote the development of children's external emotional understanding,mental emotional understanding and introspection emotional understanding.4.There is no significant difference in the influence of parent-child emotional talk on the emotional understanding of middle class children of different genders.Based on the findings of the study,the researchers suggested that:(1)parents can choose emotional picture books to talk about emotions with young children purposefully;(2)parents use the emotional talk to read picture book which can promote the development of children's emotional understanding;(3)parents attach importance to emotional education to help children learn emotional knowledge.
