In the context of a new round of curriculum reform entering the new stage,changes in the content of geography curriculum standards,the implementation of the new mode of college entrance examination,and the urgent need to improve the cultivation of humanistic spirits such as morality,emotion,world outlook,outlook on life and values.Only by making the geography curriculum content scientific,practical,contemporary and humanistic,Only in this way can we effectively implement the four core qualities of human-earth coordination,comprehensive thinking,regional cognition and geographical practice,make geography useful and interesting,to attract more students to choose geography and love geography.This requires that geography teaching should conform to the requirements of the times and make corresponding changes to highlight the application value and educational value of geography.The local excellent culture is created by human beings to adapt to the geographical environment,with a deep geographical imprint.Applying local excellent culture to geography teaching is conducive to the core literacy.Creating a real learning,observation and exploration process through local excellent culture is conducive to gradually forming correct values,promoting students socialization,realizing education with life,educating for life,and achieving the goal of geography education.This paper adopts the literature research method to define related concepts,summarizes the research status of local excellent culture and geography teaching related fields,and then uses the questionnaire survey method to understand the application status and existing problems of local excellent culture in geography teaching.In view of the problem,this paper takes the MinNan culture as an example,to construct the strategy of applying local excellent culture to geography teaching:evaluate application value and build content system;Integrate curriculum resources according to geography curriculum standards;based on classroom practice,implement effective teaching.Finally,Taking exploring the past and present life of the maritime silk road as the teaching case,Carry out teaching practice to provide reference for front-line teachers.
