Novel teaching has always been the top priority in high school Chinese teaching,while in practical teaching,there are many problems in novel teaching,such as utilitarian,superficial,stereotyped and low level of teachers' interpretation.By using the method of literature research and case analysis,this paper systematically combs the theory of text reading in China and the West,discriminates its enlightenment to the teaching of novels,and then expounds the rationality of introducing the method of close reading into the teaching of novels in senior high schools.On this basis,a detailed interpretation of the typical cases of high school novels by the method of close reading of texts is made in the paper,and the reading results are transformed into instructional design,in order to apply the theory into practice and provide an example for the novel teaching of high school.It's argued based on the paper that the close-reading method is of great help in changing the current novel teaching of high school.The word "(close reading)" comes from the new criticism of the United Kingdom and the United States.In ancient China,there has been the elaboration of the text for a long time ago,while it has not yet formed a systematic theory.In contemporary times,Qian Liqun,Sun Shaozhen,Wang Furen,Chen Sihe,Wang Xianpei and other scholars have interpreted the text in detail respectively and created rich theoretical results.If these close-reading theories can be integrated and analyzed,and the specific cases can be read carefully,the quality of novel teaching will be improved.In the past,mose of research were remained more on the theoretical level,while the method of translating the results of careful reading into instructional design did not put forward,and the results of careful reading into instructional design was not converted.In this paper,it has carried on the supplement and innovation to the previous research,tries to solve the practical problems of close reading.
