Reading is a crucial part of Chinese, which is an important way for students to cultivate character, develop intelligence and gain esthetic experience.’Overall perception’and’close reading’are efficient reading methods. If they are introduced to the reading teaching and unified, there will be a better result of teaching.There are five parts of this paper:The first part is an overview of the research, including some definitions of the core concepts, the cause and meaning of the research, the review of research and the main research methods.The second part is the analysis of problems and causes of reading teaching in high school. According to the weakness of Chinese reading teaching in high school nowadays, it can be divided into extensive teaching and trivial teaching. To explore the reason, mainly because the teaching utilitarian-orientation and the wrong understanding of the New Standard.The third part discusses the meaning of’overall perception’and’close reading’of fusion, indicates that it is the basic way to solve above problems. In terms of theoretical significance, firstly in the literary theory, they complement each other; secondly, it conforms to the requirement of the New Standard. In terms of practical significance, firstly, in students’view, they can develop their thinking on the breadth and depth; secondly, in teachers’view, it is according to the requirement of the deep teaching.The fourth part is the focus of the paper. The author tries to set up an application system—"Overall Perception and Close Reading of Fusion" in Chinese reading teaching in high school. Firstly, in the preparing stage, it can be divided into "overall perception of element read-close reading of study read-Fusion of think read". Secondly, in the stage of classroom teaching, it can be divided into "grasp the overall, activate the experience-read the text closely-return whole, return to its roots".The last part summarizes conclusions of this paper.In short, this paper pays attention to interpret theories and illustrate the problem by particle cases, expecting it will play a role in Chinese reading teaching in high school.
