An Analysis Of The Historical Change Of The Report Of The Winter Olympic Games In People's Daily(1980-2018)

The Winter Olympic Games is the largest comprehensive Winter Games in the world.Although the influence of the Winter Olympic Games is inferior to that of the Summer Olympic Games,the attention of the Winter Olympic Games in China is obviously increasing as China is approaching the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games.People's Daily is the most authoritative newspaper in China.It also records the whole process of China's participation in the Winter Olympic Games.This paper takes the report of the 11 th Winter Olympic Games in People's Daily from 1980 to 2018 as the research object,and divides it into three historical stages.Based on the theory of news framework,this paper constructs relevant categories,analyses the reports from three levels: high,middle and low,reveals the historical context of the reports of the Winter Olympic Games in People's Daily,and analyses the reasons from three aspects: social environment,audience and project.The high-level structure of the framework is based on the number of reports and the topic of reports,aiming to clarify the theme of reports and highlight the demands of reports;the middle-level structure of the framework is based on the object of reports,the items of reports concerned,the source of information and the reporting perspective,which is divided into the event situation,oral response,evaluation analysis,prediction and historical background analysis,with the aim of constructing the framework.The low-level structure of the framework starts with the report style,the report layout and the news tone,aiming at selecting the report style and laying the emotional tone.Generally speaking,the report of the Winter Olympic Games in People's Daily has undergone three stages of evolution in the course of historical changes,that is,the report in the first stage is not readable,the report in the second stage has a strong political color,the report vision in the second stage has been broadened,the tendency of gold-only has become more and more serious,and then the humanistic color in the third stage has gradually become strong and the embodiment of individual value.These histories have different reporting characteristics,which are closely related tothe social background,audience concepts and project development in different historical periods.Through the study of the reports of the previous Winter Olympic Games in People's Daily,this paper finds out the general characteristics and changing trends of the reports,hoping to inspire and improve the reports of the future Winter Olympic Games.
