Research On The National Consciousness Improvement Of College Students In The New Era

National consciousness is the conception of citizens' awareness and identification of the motherland.It is a sense of belonging,identity and responsibility for the emotional community,community of destiny,and other factors based on blood,geography and culture.It is the basis of national centripetal force and cohesion.It is both a historical concept and a historical formation process.In a modern sense,China's macro-state consciousness is gradually formed in the process of modern Chinese people's opposition to colonization,oppression,and the pursuit of national independence,which is inseparable from the awakening of our national consciousness and the deepening of our understanding of the world.In contemporary China,the basic footholds of national consciousness are the national identity of the People's Republic of China,the political identity of the ruling position of the Communist Party of China,the institutional identity of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and the identity of long-established nationality,history,and culture.The national consciousness in the new era includes the inherited elements of national sovereignty consciousness,patriotism consciousness,solidarity and unity consciousness,national interest consciousness,national security consciousness,and the consciousness of striving for the country.It also includes contemporary elements such as dialectical national and world concepts in the global landscape,the patriotic sentiment of the media era,and the accurate judgment and rational cognition of the current basic national conditions.As a new historical orientation,the new era provides a framework for all aspects of our country,and it also has an impact on the improvement of college students' national consciousness.College students as a vital force for social construction,the establishment of national consciousness is of great value to them in clarifying their social responsibilities,establishing common ideals,transcending local narrowness,promoting national unity,inspiring patriotic feelings,and forming a joint force for development,and it requires special efforts to improve them.From the perspective of promotion logic,the promotion of national consciousness of college students in the new era requires gradual progress and unity of knowledge and action,based on a clear understanding of the country as the basis and premise,to strengthen patriotism as a bridge and link,and to promote rational patriotic action as the goal and direction.Based on problem orientation and following the promotion logic of cognition,emotion and behavior,the national consciousness of some college students in the new era still has some problems,such as the lack of accurate connotation cognition of national consciousness,the lack of clarity of the new era's national conditions and world situation,the lack of firm emotional determination of loving the motherland,and the lack of coordination between patriotism and concrete practice.The causes of these problems mainly include the effectiveness of some links in the cultivation of national awareness in colleges is insufficient,the impact of globalization background on college students' cognition,the disappearance of some social phenomena to settle students' patriotic emotion,and the lack of endogenous power to transform patriotism into patriotic action.Therefore,based on its conceptual connotation,promotion logic,and problem orientation,the new era college students' national consciousness requires a division of labor among the various cultivation subjects,and close cooperation,and is improved through the following strategies:first,follow the laws of cognition to optimize the national consciousness cultivation system of colleges;second,follow the development of the times,clarify the connotation and essence of national consciousness;third,focus on risk issues to shape college students' patriotic emotions;fourth,use important opportunities to guide college students to engage in patriotic action.
