A social worker's role practice influences the establishment of a trusted professional relationship,and a trusted professional relationship is a prerequisite for fostering resilience of clients.The purpose of this study is to respond to the problem that how the social worker practice a role to build a trust professional relationship,analyze and summarize the challenges encountered in the social worker's role practice and the ways to cope with them.This research uses action research,taking institution A in Changchun city as the action situation,and 3 social workers including researcher,6 autistic children,5 community children and 2 college student volunteers as the main research participants.In the preparation period,evaluate and construct the conditions for the social worker's role practice;in the early stages of the action,create a caring atmosphere and inspire change;in the middle stage of the action,promote cooperation and enhance the clients' subjective awareness and effectiveness;in the later stage of the action,create enabling opportunities and realize the sense of value as a course of action and carry out action research.The research found that the social worker acts as a service provider,an advocate,a sincere and consistent communicator,a leader who flexibly uses professional skills,a supporter who is appropriately motivated,an educator who realizes clients' potential,a companion who emphasizes "us",a group motive catalyst and an opportunity enabler / resource linker in building the trusted professional relationship and the social worker is faced with challenges of personal expertise limitations,inconsistency between knowledge and actions,role ambiguity,volunteers question the value of helping others,the exclusion between children with autism and children in the community,the low awareness of clients in participating in the service,and the low level of awareness of social work and autism groups among community residents,etc.,and the social worker copes with challenges in a positive way.The main responses of the social worker include improving self-reflection and self-awareness;combining theoretical learning with practical training to internalize professional values and ethics;focusing on the development of training and supervision;providing opportunities for clients to participate;improving the ability of empathy;forming cooperative relationship with community staff,and carrying out publicity work in the community;establishing community volunteer teams,etc..
