| As a carrier of curriculum content,textbook is not only the medium to improve students' knowledge,skill and core competencies,but also implies important value.Children's image in textbook is an object that students can learn from directly,and it has a subtle influence on children's behavior and attitude.Therefore,children's image was selected as breakthrough point to explore the value orientation behind it.As we all known,the National Chinese textbooks were approved by the Ministry of Education and put into use in 2017.This study chose 1-6 volumes of Chinese textbooks in primary schools as research samples,used the methods of literature research and content analysis to collect research data.In the process of this study,based on literal review,combing the research status of children's image in existing research,combining the analytical dimension of children's image in the field of literature and echo characteristics,drawing on and modifying the previous research framework,the analysis framework of this article was finally formulated,mainly from the children's external image(including gender,ethnicity,country,age)and internal image(including emotional,personality,and moral qualities).Attempts to answer the following questions:(1)What are the characteristics of these children's image?(2)What value orientation is behind these children's image?(3)Based on the study of children's image,what suggestions can be put forward for the compilation and use of Chinese textbooks for elementary schools?This study found that the image of children in the Chinese textbooks for elementary schools compiled by the Ministry of Education has the following characteristics:(1)Life-oriented;(2)Children's perspective;(3)Diversity;contains the followingvalues,(1)Gender image: "emphasis on boys";(2)National image: return to classic culture and broaden international horizons;(4)Political image: " little heroes " image disappeared and the red scarf became daily.(5)Psychological image: attach importance to positive emotions and extroversion personality;(6)Moral image: improve public morality awareness and focus on personal morality.Based on the above research findings,the following suggestions are made for the compilation of Chinese textbooks for elementary schools:(1)Balance the gender ratio;(2)Pay attention to the culture of ethnic minorities;(3)Show children's pluralistic personality.The following suggestions are put forward for the use of Chinese textbooks for elementary schools:(1)Establish a sense of gender equality;(2)Interpret character image from multiple perspectives;(3)Expand background information;(4)Infiltrate moral education. |
